Lifeyear clinic introduces the new concept of personalised anti-aging and preventive medical care to Lebanon.

Lifeyear clinic offers a comprehensive range of special programs which assess and help preserve the functional and genetic HEALTH CAPITAL of patients along with close monitoring of the evolution of both the subclinical and the clinical health indicators.

The founder of lifeyear clinic, Dr Layla Lahoud holds a degree in anti-aging, preventive and regenerative medicine from Dresden International University in Germany.

After graduating from the American University of Beirut with a degree of medical doctor diploma, she completed a four-year residency program in Anatomic Pathology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Kidney pathology at the Lebanese University with the support of Columbia University, New York.

Dr Layla is keen at providing her patients with a thorough and individualised approach in her assessment guided by key findings in the medical history, clinical examination, special functional biology testing and most importantly the genetic profiling. With her unique patient-centric approach, she will help every individual set his/her own HEALTH MANAGEMENT PLAN which will include the major predisposing genes and basic recommendations for a better quality of life and a longer, healthier and successful aging.

After completing her studies in Germany, she decided to transmit the knowledge and European expertise in anti-aging and preventive medicine to her home country Lebanon, becoming a pioneer in this domain in the region, hoping to help people understand more their own genetic makeup and identify the protective factors that will ensure a better health for now and for the future.

Who ?

Who would benefit from anti-aging and preventive medicine?

When ?

When should one consult an ant-aging and preventive medicine practitioner?
It is never too early. The earlier the better. And it is never too late.

Why ?

Why anti-aging medicine ?

  • Because aging matters and because “every man desires to live long, but no man would be old” (J.Swift)
  • For a long, healthy and successful aging.
Anti-aging medicine practice aims at increasing the probability of healthy and successful aging.
Successful aging is multidimensional. It encompasses the avoidance of disease and disability, the maintenance of high physical and cognitive function, and sustained involvement in social and productive activities (Rowe Kahn).
  • For a real health care that focuses on health and prevention rather than illness and intervention.

Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.

The greatest medicine of all is to teach people how not to need it.

It is more important to know what sort of person has a disease than what sort of disease a person has.

The modern medicine focuses on health and prevention rather than illness and intervention.
